Arrival and departure
In general, the rooms are available at noon time. However, if you should wish to arrive earlier, you are welcome to leave your baggage by us.
On the day of your departure we kindly ask you to leave your room at 10 am. If you want to spend your last afternoon in Braunlage, however you can store your luggage by us.
Parking: cars and motorcycles
You may use our free parking directly in front of the house. Motorcycles can also be parked in our backyard.
Credit card payment
Unfortunately it is not possible to pay via credit card, we sorry. However, if you don’t want to pay cash, it is possible to transfer the amount via banking account. You receive our banking account data (IBAN/BIC) via your confirmation email.
Traffic and noise
We are directly located at the Harz forest, far away from city noise and our road is “not in use”. So, it is really quit and idyllic.
Breakfast
Every day
- it is our standard - you get a rich unlimited breakfast buffet until 10 am.
Of course all beverages such as coffee, tea, juices, milk / hot chocolate, etc.
are also already included!
Half-board: breakfast buffet and 3-course supper
If you
have booked “half-board” you get everyday a rich breakfast buffet and a
evening meal.
You always get a 3-course menu consisting of a starter (usually a freshly
prepared soup or salad), a main course and a sweet dessert.
In our house you never have to starve! If you have large appetite, just let us
know, we prepare your meal bigger.
Please notice: All of our dishes are freshly prepared and not made by convenience!
Vegetarian, Allergies
If you do not eat any animal products or if you are sensitive to certain
ingredients, please declare it before your arrival! Of course we prepare an
alternative meal for you.
Rooms and housekeeping
All of our rooms are equipped with shower/WC, telephone, TV and wireless LAN internet access and will be daily cleaned.
Internet, wireless LAN, WiFi
You are welcome to use our free wireless LAN network. You could receive the access data at the reception board.
Please note: It is a public network! We are not responsible for any damages caused by data abuses or virus attacks etc.!
Children: Family rooms, extra beds, prices
Of course families with children are welcome in our hotel! We like to offer you our “family room” (up to 2 adults and 2 children), or it is possible to add extra beds in a double room.
For kids up to 1 year our service is totally free. For children and teenagers under the age of 12 the following prices are valid (per child/night):
- just
with breakfast buffet: 20 Euros
- half board: 25 Euros

Local tax “Kurbeitrag”
The authority of Braunlage (and Harz) collects from its guests a tourist resort tax (for adults 2.20 Euros/night, for children 1.10 Euros/night). The tax is collected by the hotel managers and will be immediately passed. The “Kurbeitrag” it is not a service of the hotel, so the tourist resort tax is not included in our prices.
With the “Kurbeitrag”-cheque
you could receive a lot of free or reduced services in and around Braunlage,
like free access to our public swimming bath!
Dogs
In
general, animals are not allowed in our house.
However, if you have a dog which is small, quiet and domesticated, we can make
an exception. We ask for understanding that we have to levy an additional
cleaning fee in the amount of 5 Euros/night. By the way we plead you to take a
night-cover or dog basked with you.
We point out that the journey with your dog is only possible if you tell us before
your reservation about the fact! We have to secure allergy sufferer!
